Description

The MF5 Plasterboard Ceiling Section is for use with the metal ceiling system. It is a secondary section below the MF7 Primary Support Channel. The MF5 Sections are easy to cut to length.

MF Suspended System plaster board ceilings are ideal for commercial and domestic applications. When they are installed in small rooms with low ceiling voids especially if the rooms have been well sealed and are airtight – in a minority of cases, movement of the metal components in the ceiling has caused unacceptable noise, typically when doors are opened and closed.

To overcome this problem, in all domestic applications it is recommended that the Ceiling Furring section is attached to the Primary Channel using two self-drilling dry wall pan head screws per connection. MF ceiling creates a seamless surface suitable to receive most decorative finishes. It is able to be directly decorated or it can have a textured finish.
