Leyland Trade Eggshell paint is an oil or solvent based eggshell that provides a mid-sheen finish, which is very easy to apply. Ideal for using on interior wood and metal surfaces, the solvent based paint helps to leave a hardwearing and knock resistant finish.

Particularly suited to being used in high traffic areas such as bathrooms and kitchen, the Leyland Trade Eggshell provides you with the added bonus of a smooth washable finish which is touch dry within 4-6 hours. Providing up to 20m² per litre of coverage, 1-2 coat is generally required for optimum results.

Preparation

Before application of Leyland Trade Eggshell paint ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint.

Prime all new and bare surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer. Rub down sound previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key.

Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application

Stir Leyland Trade Eggshell paint well before use. Apply evenly by brush or roller and avoid overspreading.

Apply one or more coats as required and allow 16-24 hours drying between coats under normal conditions. Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.
